"The law school's done a great job of introducing me to the environment and I appreciate the focus on professional preparation from the outset."

Jennifer Elizabeth Adedeji is a second-generation American born to Nigerian immigrants. “After earning a BA in English, I was drawn to the hands-on, progressive potential of law when I turned my eye to continuing education,” she said. “I have a strong interest in IP Law, particularly copyrights and trademarks. The IP Law opportunities at MSU left a strong impression on me, and having attended school in my home state of California, I was eager to experience life in a different region of the country.”

To prepare for the LSAT, Jennifer jumped right into practice tests in simulated testing conditions.  “It gave me a good idea of my strengths and weaknesses at the beginning of the prep process and further practice tests made for a convenient gauge for my progress moving forward,” she said. “I also made full use of the free materials provided by LSAC.”

MSU College of Law’s Admitted Candidate Visit Program helped Jennifer choose MSU. “It was highly informative and a good preview of the school,” she said. “Staff and prospective students were friendly and engaging. The tour guides were upbeat and knowledgeable.  I had the pleasure of speaking with Professor Jennifer Rosa one-on-one during a school visit and the conversation made me more comfortable with my decision to attend a school two time zones away from the region where I’d grown up. The law school's done a great job of introducing me to the environment and I appreciate the focus on professional preparation from the outset.”
